Dr Rachel Mackey

Dr. Mackey graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1992. She completed 9 years of Obstetrics and Gynaecology training. She was admitted as a member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2000. As part of her training she completed three years of research in Sydney, Australia in the area of the menopause. From 2001 to 2005 Rachel worked in the Womens Medical Clinic in Blackrock, combining womens health with aspects of general practice. Dr Mackey opened the unique Womens Health Clinic in May 2007 in the Dun Laoghaire area, offering a wide range of services using her extensive obstetric and gynaecological expertise.

Dr Gillian McLaughlin

Dr Gillian McLaughlin

Gillian graduated from St Andrews University in 1990 with a BSc, following which she did her clinical training at Manchester University, graduating in 1993. She completed her General Practice Training in Edinburgh and passed her membership for the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1998. Gillian also has postgraduate diplomas in Community Child Health and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Gillian has been working at the Slievemore Clinic in Stillorgan until recently. Before her family's move to Dublin in 2005, Gillian worked in the academic practice at Edinburgh University then became a partner in a busy practice in Hampstead, north-west London. As well as her experience in general practice, Gillian's areas of special interest include:

  • Womans and Child health
  • Family Planning
  • STI screening
  • Female Full Medical Check-Ups
  • Joint Injections
  • Sports Medicine
Emma Dilley

Emma Dilley

Emma Dilley has recently joined the practice as our practice nurse. Emma completed her training as a general nurse at the Meath Hospital in 1995 and then went on to obtain a higher diploma in Midwifery at the Coombe Hospital in 2000. Emma worked in the Well Woman Centre for 3 years and has been working in the Coombe Women & Infants Hospital for the last 5 years.

Emma brings her extensive experience in womens health to our clinic and will run her own clinics, offering a wide range of services.

Lara Strafford

Lara Stafford

Lara Stafford joined the Womens Health Clinic in March 2008. Lara has extensive experience and worked in the medical field for many years as medical receptionist in a local GP practice and opticians.




Dee Dilley

Dee Dilley

Dee Dilley joined the Womens Health Clinic in September 2008. Dee has had extensive experience in womens health, having worked as medical receptionist at the Well Woman Clinic for 3 years, and at Fitzpatricks Castle Gym most recently.
